The Jesus Retreat

"Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy..." (Ps 43:4)

"Let us remember that the place of Christ's presence on earth was not only the Upper Room in Jerusalem, but also the streets of towns and country roads. Everywhere people gathered before Him. They gathered together to be able to be with Him, to listen to Him. He speaks to us who have gathered, not with the living words of the Gospel, as He once did, but with the eloquent silence of the Eucharist.  In this silence of the white host, carried in the monstrance, are all His words; there is His whole life given in offering to the Father for each of us; there is also the glory of the glorified body, which started with the Resurrection, and still continues in heavenly union." - Pope John Paul II

Welcome to The Jesus Retreat!
It is always amazing to me to experience the power of the Holy Spirit working in His Church. The retreat weekend for the past three years has truly been an incredible outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Church and I want everyone to know that it is only the beginning. The movement to stay in communion begins with each individual heart being in communion with the Eucharistic Body of Christ in Mass. Once that communion is strengthened in everyone’s lives then we move toward an outward manifestation of that communion through the living out of our vocation, both our universal call to holiness and our particular call to serve the Lord either through marriage, priesthood, religious life, or the single life. What has begun in Baltimore, Philly, Allentown, and now quickly spreading into many other parts of the country is the uniting of a community of those called by God and committed to helping one live in the fullness of the Holy Spirit in a world so hostile to that fullness. Let us use every resource given to us to stay united. I just want you all to pray for what I believe will be a new move of the Spirit in the Church coming soon. The Lord has been revealing piece by piece to me the parts of the plan that He desires me to respond to personally and this could possibly affect the vocation of many of you as well. So please pray for my discernment in the upcoming months and any words you get in prayer from the Holy Spirit, please email me ASAP. God Bless you all. I love you.
Your father in Christ,
Father Scott
