Spirit of Truth Young Adult Ministry formed in the fall of 2008 and has been together since.  We are a group devoted not only to growing ourselves in our precious faith, but also to ministering to others.  Service is part of who we are and what we're all about.  We want to be the hands and feet of the parish.

Currently we are small in number, but our size has afforded us all the opportunity for wonderful group discussions to happen and for close-knit friendships to form and be maintained.

We have been able to serve our parish, also, in numerous capacities! Since our formation, we have served at various shrimp and bull roasts, spaghetti dinners, and assisted with the Lenten Souper Supper.  We have supported the Miracle Player Productions both in the capacities of acting and attending the plays.  We have prepared casseroles for Our Daily Bread, gone Christmas caroling to homebound parishioners, and had a booth at Diversity Day.

In the area of faith formation, we have attended Holy Hours, had a young adult group Mass, and shared the experience of the Sedar Meal in the company of one another.  Also, we had our first bake sale last fall to raise the funds for our first young adult retreat!  The sale was, to our surprise, a huge success, and ended up bringing in enough of a profit to pay for our entire weekend retreat!  We were so grateful!

And what do we do for fun?  Well, all of the above things were enjoyable simply because we were in the company of one another.  But for some extra fun, we have taken a ghost tour, attended a lacrosse game, had game/movie nights, and even celebrated one St. Patrick's Day with a traditional corned beef and cabbage meal - hosted by two of our members.

We have also had the privilege of reading the works of brilliant writers - such as Pope John Paul II and C.S. Lewis.  We look forward to continued growth in our faith and growth in our friendships with each other.  And as importantly, we look forward to continue to serve our parish in whatever ways we are able.
