After running it for more than 14 years, I am no longer a young adult and its beyond time I pass this on to someone more connected to young adult happenings than myself. Dundalk Prayer Group The Sacred Heart of Mary Young Adult Group hosts a weekly meeting on Monday at 7 pm in the rectory (6736 Youngstown Ave) They have socialization time, prayer and worship and then break up into small groups to go over the Sunday readings.
Fells Point Theology on Tap Theology on Tap Fells Point at The Greene Turtle (722 S. Broadway) hosts Theology on Tap on Tuesdays in October. Come at 6:30 for dinner, 7 for happy 1/2 hour and 7:30 the talk begins.

Annapolis Theology on Tap The St. Mary's Annapolis Young Adult group is sponsoring Theology on Tap on the first Tuesday of each month at Federal House (22 Market Place). The meetings are scheduled to go from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
October 6 - Mike MacDonald - Catholic Social Teaching
Canton Basketball The St. Casmir (2736 O'Donnell St) Canton Young Adults gather each Tuesday at 8:00 pm and choose sides to play a game of pick-up basketball. The games are held on the second floor of the Kolbe Center/Parish Hall. No need to RSVP, simply show up and play!
Clarksville Moms Group St. Louis Clarksville hosts Playgroup each Wednesday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the parish center.
Crofton Moms Group St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (1800 Seton Drive) in Crofton sponsors "Mom's Morning Out" on Wednesdays from 10-11 am in the Ark & Dove rooms of the parish center. Moms get the enjoy each other's company while their children (infants to three years of age) are cared for by Stand trained volunteers in the next room.
Ellicott City Prayer Group ChristLife is hosting a weekly Prayer Meeting for Young Adults on Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Franciscan Monastery in Ellicott City (12280 Folly Quarter Rd). The meetings will include praise & worship, formation, small group discussion and fellowship. For more information contact Pete at christlife.org.
Roland Park Archbishop Lori Discussion on Laudato Si Archbishop Lori will lead a panel discussion on Pope Francis's latest Encyclical Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home. The discussion will take place on Wednesday October 7th at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Seminary and University's Laubacher Hall in Roland Park (5400 Roland Ave). The people on the panel are Dr. Carolyn Woo of Catholic Relief Services, Dr. David Cloutier of Mount St. Mary’s University, and Mr. Lonnie Ellis, OFS, of the Catholic Climate Covenant. It will be moderated by Mark Rohlena, director of the USCCB Committee for Domestic Social Development.


Federal Hill Moms Group The Catholic Community of South Baltimore hosts a weekly Toddler Play Group on Thursdays at 9:30 am and ending by 11:00 am at Holy Cross Hall (108 E. West St) in the Federal Hill area of Baltimore.
Jessup Holy Hour, Pumpkin Carving & Bonfire The Koinonia Young Adult Ministry at St. Lawrence Martyr in Jessup (2815 Jessup Rd) every second Thursday of the month from 7-9 pm. The evening consists of a Holy Hour with adoration and praise & worship, after the holy hour they have a social, during which confession is offered.
On October 8th the social will be a bonfire with pumpkin carving and apple cider.


Downtown Baltimore Feeding the Homeless St. Vincent de Paul Church (120 N. Front St) hosts a soup kitchen each Friday evening at 5:00 pm. Volunteers are always needed to help cook, clean and serve, no advance headcount is needed, just come if you are able. They are also always looking for donations of clothes, shoes and blankets.
Fullerton Catholic Young Adult Oktoberfest St. Joseph Parish in Fullerton (8420 Belair Rd) is hosting their second annual Catholic Young Adult Oktoberfest on Friday, October 9th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Parish Center. Tickets are just $15 and include beer tasting and snack pairings.


Washington DC Domestic Church Day

The Saint John Paul II National Shrine invites families and engaged couples to attend a half-day retreat on Saturday, October 10 from 12:30 to 5:00 P.M. with the topic of "Love is Our Mission," following the theme of the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. This will be a unique day of events, including talks for different age groups: for couples, “How to be Missionary Disciples of Love in Marriage” by Fr. Dan Leary; for children, a fun catechesis on discipleship; and for teens, a presentation on “How to be ‘All in’ with Dating and Love” Following the talks, the whole family will have opportunities for confession, praise and worship Eucharistic adoration led by Fr. Larry Swink in our new Redemptor Hominis Chapel, and a special time of veneration during which couples are invited to touch their wedding and/or engagement rings to a first-class relic of Saint John Paul II. The day will conclude with a picnic on the lawn and Polish-themed lawn games. Cost per couple/family is only $10, which includes apple cider, a fall themed snack and all materials for the day. Charles Village Mass The Baltimore Frassati Fellowship at SS. Philip and James (2801 N. Charles St) in Charles Village has a weekly Young Adult Mass each Sunday at 5:00 pm . The Mass is celebrated by one of the Dominican Friars and the music will be a more modern contemporary Christian music.
Federal Hill Mass The Catholic Community of South Baltimore sponsors a young adult Mass every Sunday at 5:00 pm at Holy Cross Parish (108 E West St.) in Federal Hill. Join them after Mass for a social in the church hall.
Canton Mass St. Casmir (2736 O'Donnell St) in Canton sponsors a young adult Mass every Sunday at 5:00 pm. Join them after Mass on first Sundays for coffee and dessert at Vacarro's on Canton Square.
Mount Vernon Mass St. Ignatius in Mount Vernon (740 N. Calvert St.) hosts a weekly 6:00 pm Mass in the Chapel. Although not specifically a young adult Mass it is attended by many young adults attend and they host a social after Mass on the second Sunday of each month.

Tuesday, October 13 - Ellicott City Young Adult Discussion Evening The Young Adult Discussion series at St. Anthony Shrine in Ellicott City 12280 Folly Quarter Rd) this month will be on the Death Penalty. The talk will be given by Dr. Vicki Schieber. The talk begins at 7 pm. Come learn more about why the Church's opposes the use of the death penalty.
Mondays Starting October 19 - Ellicott City Mini-Series on Mercy Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ellicott City (4795 Ilchester Rd) is hosting a Young Adult three-part mini-series on Mercy. They will be held on Mondays, October 19th, 26th and November 2nd in the Parish Office from 7-8 pm. They will examine the upcoming Year of Mercy as Promulgated by Pope Francis and its implications on us and the Universal Church.
Wednesday, October 21 -Reisterstown Theology & Burgers on Tap Sacred Heart Glyndon Young Adults host Theology & Burgers on Tap on the third Wednesday of each month at The Grill at Harryman House in Reisterstown (340 Main St). Come at 7 for dinner, talk starts at 7:15 pm.
