After running it for more than 14 years, I am no longer a young adult and its beyond time I pass this on to someone more connected to young adult happenings than myself. Dundalk Prayer Group The Sacred Heart of Mary Young Adult Group hosts a weekly meeting on Monday at 7 pm in the rectory (6736 Youngstown Ave) They have socialization time, prayer and worship and then break up into small groups to go over the Sunday readings.
Catonsville Holy Hour for Life St. William of York in Baltimore invites all young adults to attend their monthly Respect Life Holy Hour at 7:00 pm on the fourth Monday of each month. The Holy Hour features praise & worship and tradition hymns, ending with Benediction and followed by a time for refreshments.
Fells Point Theology on Tap Theology on Tap Fells Point at The Greene Turtle (722 S. Broadway) hosts Theology on Tap on Tuesdays in July. Happy 1/2 hour at 7, speaker at 7:30 followed by Q&A.
Mount Vernon Book Study The St. Ignatius (740 N. Calvert St.) Young Adult Group hosts a book study on the second and last Tuesdays of the month at 8 pm in Ignatian Hall
Canton Basketball The St. Casmir (2736 O'Donnell St) Canton Young Adults gather each Tuesday at 8:00 pm and choose sides to play a game of pick-up basketball. The games are held on the second floor of the Kolbe Center/Parish Hall. No need to RSVP, simply show up and play!
Clarksville Moms Group St. Louis Clarksville hosts Playgroup each Wednesday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the parish center.
Crofton Moms Group St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (1800 Seton Drive) in Crofton sponsors "Mom's Morning Out" on Wednesdays from 10-11 am in the Ark & Dove rooms of the parish center. Moms get the enjoy each other's company while their children (infants to three years of age) are cared for by Stand trained volunteers in the next room.
Ellicott City Prayer Group ChristLife is hosting a weekly Prayer Meeting for Young Adults on Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Franciscan Monastery in Ellicott City (12280 Folly Quarter Rd). The meetings will include praise & worship, formation, small group discussion and fellowship. For more information contact Pete at christlife.org.


Federal Hill Moms Group The Catholic Community of South Baltimore hosts a weekly Toddler Play Group on Thursdays at 9:30 am and ending by 11:00 am at Holy Cross Hall (108 E. West St) in the Federal Hill area of Baltimore.


Downtown Baltimore Feeding the Homeless St. Vincent de Paul Church (120 N. Front St) hosts a soup kitchen each Friday evening at 5:00 pm. Volunteers are always needed to help cook, clean and serve, no advance headcount is needed, just come if you are able. They are also always looking for donations of clothes, shoes and blankets.



Charles Village Mass The Baltimore Frassati Fellowship at SS. Philip and James (2801 N. Charles St) in Charles Village has a weekly Young Adult Mass each Sunday at 5:00 pm . The Mass is celebrated by one of the Dominican Friars and the music will be a more modern contemporary Christian music.
Federal Hill Mass The Catholic Community of South Baltimore sponsors a young adult Mass every Sunday at 5:00 pm at Holy Cross Parish (108 E West St.) in Federal Hill. Join them after Mass for a social in the church hall.
Canton Mass St. Casmir (2736 O'Donnell St) in Canton sponsors a young adult Mass every Sunday at 5:00 pm. Join them after Mass on first Sundays for coffee and dessert at Vacarro's on Canton Square.
Mount Vernon Mass St. Ignatius in Mount Vernon (740 N. Calvert St.) hosts a weekly 6:00 pm Mass in the Chapel. Although not specifically a young adult Mass it is attended by many young adults attend and they host a social after Mass on the second Sunday of each month.

Special Events

Downtown - Saturday, August 22 yPIE Orioles Game Join the Young Partners in Excellence (yPIE) for their second annual night at Camden Yards for the Orioles vs. Twins game on Saturday August 22nd at 7:05pm. The first 20,000 fans are receiving free J.J. Hardy Orange Replica T-Shirts! They will all be sitting in the same section. They will meet at Pratt Street Alehouse (206 W. Pratt St) on the 2nd floor for drinks before the game. Tickets will be distributed there. There will be drink specials from 5-7pm, so swing by and grab a beer and your ticket! Tickets are $12/person and a portion of the ticket sales will go to the Partners In Excellence Scholarship program, which provides scholarships to disadvantaged children who wish to attend a Catholic School in Baltimore City. Tickets can be purchased via EventBrite.
Ellicott City - Saturday, August 29 Friar Fest - Outdoor Concert Featuring Marie Miller and More The Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City (12280 Folly Quarter Rd) is hosting Friar Fest on Saturday, August 29th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm, there will also be a special Vigil Mass at 5:00 pm. Tickets for Friar Fest are $10 per person or $30 for family if purchased in advance. The line up this year once again includes Marie Miller (with songs featured on VH1, CMT & DWTS), LAngelus and Erik Christensen.
Philadelphia - Tuesday-Friday, September 22-25 World Meeting of Families Congress The World Meeting of Families is a world-wide Church event held every three years at a different location. 2015 will be the first time it is held in the United States. The Congress portion will be held Tuesday, September 22 through Friday, September 25 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia. There will be two separate Congresses, one for adults and one for register adult's children (further split based on age). The Congress will consist of Mass, talks and prayer and include time for those with children to have lunch together
Philadelphia - Saturday-Sunday, September 26-27 Festival of Families and Papal Visit The World Meeting of Families is a world-wide Church event held every three years at a different location. 2015 will be the first time it is held in the United States. The Festival of Families will take place on Saturday, September 26th on the Ben Franklin Parkway in downtown Philadelphia and Pope Francis will attend at around 7 pm. He will also celebrate a Mass on Sunday, September 27th at 4pm to close the Congress.
The Archdiocese of Baltimore is sponsoring a bus and train trip to see the Holy Father on Sunday.
